Privacy

This page covers apexplores.com — the blog, circuits, and the trip-planning form. The games at game.apexplores.com are a separate app with their own privacy page, linked below.

Analytics

I use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Google Analytics 4 to count visits — pages viewed, country, device type, and whether you're a returning visitor. Neither is used to identify you personally.

The trip-planning form

If you fill out the trip-planning form, I collect what you enter — your name, email, and trip details — to respond to your inquiry. It's handled through Netlify's form service and isn't used for anything beyond getting back to you about the trip you asked about.

Games

AP Explores Games (Blackout Flight, Hub Hop Golf, and Guess My Flight) is a separate app at game.apexplores.com. In short:

  • Playing needs no account — your progress is kept in your browser.
  • Finished rounds go to a public leaderboard under a random guest ID and a display name you choose.
  • Signing in with Google is optional. It keeps your name, profile picture, Google account ID, and verified email. The email is never shown publicly, and is only used for puzzle news if you switch on "Email me about new puzzles" — off by default.
  • You can delete your scores and account from the leaderboard page at any time, or by emailing the contact address below.

For the full details, see the game's own privacy page.
